Accounts Assistant

Position: Accounts Assistant

Due to a recent company restructure at our Garforth site, we are now recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for our busy Head office. This is a new role and will provide support to our existing accounts team across all areas of our business. We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team, is numerically minded and has a keen eye for detail. 
Ideally suited for someone who has worked in a financial role previously or able to demonstrate strong numerical and organisation skills. 

Duties to include:
  • Control account reconciliation
  • Statement ledger reconciliation
  • Invoice inputting
  • Posting receipts and payments
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Credit control
  • Purchase ledger inputting
  • General admin duties
Personal qualities and desirable experience:
  • Working knowledge of Sage
  • Credit control experience
  • Purchase ledger experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced)
  • Minimum 5 years of accounts administration experience
  • Ability to work methodically and with good attention to detail to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Ability to prioritise depending on the urgency of requests
  • Ability to manage own timetable in order to complete recurring daily, weekly and monthly tasks, as well as ad-hoc requests
  • Support the accounts team with all aspects of related work
